We are all loving using our Instant Pots lately. I mean let’s be honest, how could someone possibly not love an appliance that does the job seven? If you don’t have one yet, it’s probably because you don’t know that the Instant Pot does the job of a slow cooker, saute/browning pan, rice cooker, pressure cooker, yogurt maker, steamer and warming pot. Amazing!!! This thing saves me so much time in the kitchen. I know you need one now, don’t you? You can get the one I use here. You are going to love yours and I want to welcome you in advance to the “Instant Pot Family”.
I usually have dinner ready by the time my boys come home from school. On this particular day, things had been a little crazier than usual and I didn’t get a chance to even think about preparing dinner until around 6pm. Not wanting my family to have to wait a long time to eat, I knew the solution would be to make a quick and delicious meal in my Instant Pot.
I decided to make a yummy Marsala using turkey meatballs. It only took me about 5 minutes prep and I had this cute little meatball roller assistant helping me. I love to get my kids in on the food preparation whenever I can. I’m a advocate for getting kids involved in cooking as much as possible because it helps open up their willingness to try new foods, it teaches responsibility, and it’s a great bonding experience.
After the prep, and about 7 minutes in the IP, I did a quick pressure release, and we were actually eating 15 minutes after I started prepping. Whew! I totally avoided the late meal mom guilt with this one. This is why I love the instant pot so much.
Later that evening, my 10 yr old came downstairs, after he was in bed, just to tell me that he really liked tonight’s dinner. They know the way to my heart, these boys!!
“WOW!” your family in a short 15 minutes and try this recipe. If you don’t have an Instant Pot yet, this recipe is simple enough to make slight adjustments to cook the traditional way.
